OBD-Plus® Technology (Environmental Biotechnology)
This is an innovative technology involving the use of a powdery material produced from Plant extracts and impregnated with special strains of micro-organisms capable of breaking down organic matter and biodegrading crude oil and various types of hydrocarbons fast for environmental management.

This material, which was invented by Professor B. A. Oso and Patented in his name as OBD-Plus® (Oso Biodegrader-Plus), formerly Professor of Botany and Microbiology of University of lbadan, lbadan, Nigeria does the following, among others:
  1. Bioremediates oil polluted soil at a fast rate;
  2. Biodegrades oil pollutants on water;
  3. Breaks down urban refuse into nutrient rich organic fertilizer within four weeks;
  4. Treats Drill cutting effectively;
  5. Treats Effluent Produce water (exploration and production);
  6. Enhances Oil Recovery Technique.
  7. Purifies sewage into clean water ; and Purifies industrial effluents into clean water.
Milestones of OBD-Plus® Technology
  1. Organic Fertilizer Production
  • Abuja municipal solid management waste scheme: Nyanya site. Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nigeria in 1997, Abuja.
  • Currently, deploying a unit of Organic fertilizer Plant at Sango-Ota in Ogun State.
  • Guinness brewery sludge, Ikeja management plan: conversion of biosolids (sludge) to organic fertilizer (Prototype), 2007.

  • Indomie Instant Noodles (De United Food Industries Limited).
